The Location at which a Sample is taken can be automatically assigned by the System during import of the Laboratory Report (See Sample Field IDs).
The Location can also be manually assigned by clicking on the Location Cell.
If Locations are already defined, the user can click the location to assign the Sample to that Location.
If Locations are not already present, users will need to create new Locations.
Click on the Edit Pencil icon in a Location Cell to bring up the "Select the Location Code" dialogue.
Create a Site if one doesn't already exist for this Project. A Site is defined as a Area that is being investigated and may refer to an Industrial Facility, a Mine Site, or an Address.
Create Locations (ie: points such as Boreholes, Wells or Sampling Locations) to the Site. Co-ordinates can be added.
The Assign button is available only if a lab report is imported without a corresponding lab submission and SDG number. It quickly creates and populates Sites and Locations from the Field ID’s listed in the lab report.
After import the Site, Locations and Wells can be re-estimated from the Field ID's and any missing Locations and Wells can be created.
