EScIS can develop custom reports for use with ESdat.

These Reports are available in Data View or in the Locations Portal depending on design and intended application.

With an "ESdat Reports" extension for ESdat Server users can upload their own custom SSRS or Crystal Reports. See your client manager for details.

Usage of Reports for viewing data is described here.

The Title, Code and Report Type must be defined as a minimum. If the File Type and the Class Name is provided then parameters will be derived from the Report as it is uploaded. The Published setting shows and hides the Report in the application for all users. The display order of Reports can be managed on a numerical basis.

Areas define where the Report will be visible in the application. The Report design must conform to the area requirements, for example a Locations Portal Report must have a single Location ID parameter.

Each Report has a unique set of parameters for which criteria can be selected by users to filter the results. The Report parameter definitions are automatically imported from the Report when it is loaded. Some customisation of the parameter settings may be required.

Display Name - is the name of the search parameter users will see.
Is Static - if a parameter is set as static a default value must be given and it will not be visible to users as a search parameter.
Is Required - a value must be selected for the search parameter by Report users.
User Interface Type - determines the search filter type.
Value - the default value to be used for when Is Static is true or is shown as the default value when the Report is first loaded.

View permissions to a Report can be applied per person if required. This permissioning is in addition to and separate from the Project View / Site Access permissions that govern the data any given user has permission to see. It is possible to override these access settings for individuals by clicking IsPublic on the Details tab, this voids the Allow Access settings here.

Reports of a similar nature can be grouped together to make navigation of a large number of Reports easy in Data View. The order Reports appear in the group can be managed by the Order number on the Details tab. Groups can be renamed and deleted once no longer required.
