Overview
Bingo Industries is one of Australia’s leading recycling and waste management companies, operating across the building, demolition, commercial, and industrial sectors on Australia’s east coast. Bingo Industries operate a network of state-of-the-art waste management and resource recovery facilities across New South Wales, Victoria, and Queensland.
Environmental Data Management in Practice
Bingo has been using ESdat since 2019 to manage it’s environmental monitoring data, and in 2024 added the ESdat Public Portal to support its commitment to transparency and environmental compliance, giving community members, regulators, and stakeholders direct visibility into Bingo’s environmental performance in real time.
Industry Recognition
Bingo’s portal was awarded the WMRR Outstanding Innovation, Project or Facility Award 2025, the peak industry body for waste management and resource recovery in Australia. Reflecting on the win, Evan Kerivan shared that “this project reflected the team’s passion for using data engineering, analytics, and automation to solve real-world challenges, whether it’s improving environmental transparency, streamlining compliance or building smarter business tools.” It is widely regarded as a first-of-its-kind approach to environmental compliance reporting in the waste sector.
What Data is Available
The portal publishes data across five key monitoring categories required under Bingo’s planning and environment approvals:
- Dust
- Noise
- Surface Water
- Groundwater & Leachate
- Landfill Gas
Data is available across multiple Australian sites including recycling centers, resource recovery facilities, and landfill operations. Users can explore results by selecting monitoring points on an interactive map or browsing a full location listing.
