ESdat 5.1 Update

Main Functional Improvements

ESdat 5.1 focusses on features, functions and enhancements requested by users

Configuration Management

Some organisations have reported a proliferation of the following listings.

  • Chem Profiles
  • Chem Table Layouts
  • QA Profiles

Dedicated Admin Screens have been created to manage Owners and to see Creation information.

The ability for Admin or Scheduler users  to create new listing items is unaffected, but this functionality will enable more collaboration and transparency on who is creating new items in order to prompt internal conversations on the motivation:

Owners can be assigned to all of the above listings to restrict edits.

Field App

Improvements related to the fully electronic eCOC, excluding the need to write on containers and coolboxes.

  • Improved barcode detection (primarily for lab container scanning) on the iPhone.  (Android phones still perform better).
  • Preview button to allow preview viewing of the eCOC before it is finalised.
  • Barcode values are displayed to the user in the app, to allow easy visual confirmation by users.
  • General usability improvements.

Exceedances Listing

  • Allows Guidelines to be set interactively (previously only compared against guidelines associated with the Site)

Logger Data

  • Calculations on Logger data are now supported (only available as a part of an implementation service initially) .

The main scenario envisaged is the conversion of piezometric pressure measurements to water depth or elevation, including piezometric pressure measurements, atmospheric pressure corrections, and automated offset corrections to match manual dip measurements.

Coordinate Import

  • Location Coordinates can now be bulk imported in a mix of Lat/Long or UTM coordinates for the same site.

Logo on Login Page

  • Companies that have their own instance of ESdat (ESdat Server) can display their own logo on the login page.
  • ESdat Online instances will graphically show their region (USA, Canada, Australia/NZ, UK/Ireland) on the login page.

Mann Kendall

  • The p-value is now displayed with the other statistics for each trend result.

Chem Table Guideline Exceedance Colors

  • Users will be able to apply a saved palette of colours to the guidelines on their Chem Table, so that the first, second, third etc.. guideline is always a consistent colour irrespective of the guidelines included.

Graphs

  • Updated Graphing engine for better usability. (previous charts are still available temporarily via an option)
  • Users will be able to define custom color palettes for lines/series in graphs.

Bulk Edits

  • An “Update All” option is available in the DMM data grid to copy a value to all other rows, to make bulk update of values easier for large datasets.
  • A “Delete All” option is available, that will delete all data loaded in a grid (User Permissions and other checks dependant).

Lab Report Comments

  • Comments can now be made against a lab report without having to also approve or reject.

Multiple EQL values for Duplicates or different datasets

  • The EQL shown for each analyte will show the min and max values on Chem Tables and RPD Duplicates tables.

Old (v4) User Interface

  • The old (V4) User Interface has been removed to allow development to focus on improvements to the new (v5) User Interface.
